Tour de sports 2

So, where were we? Oh, right, back in Kalyan from Wada. In September 2001, winter was approaching and our practice sessions were intensifying. Suddenly, we were introduced to a new game, indoor cricket. I tried at the insistence of our coach, and discovered I was quite a good batsman. I thought I could never play cricket, for when a kid, i used to play with my brothers, who always got me bowled out clean. But then times had changed. To everyone's surprise but mine, I was a pathetic bowler. But I improved with time. Our tour was in Gohana, a tiny village in the northern state of Haryana. There were both good and bad teams, us on middle ground. Dad came with us. This was the 1st time I was going so far away 4m home. We pulled off our first match with Punjab, then the 2nd with Haryana. We were in the semis with Delhi, Chandigarh and Punjab again. In r match with Delhi, they had batted first n made 30 runs in 8 overs. We had reached 34, n sm of us were alresdy celebratin victory. But on the last ball, the ball hit our batsman's bat n went into d wicketkeeper's glove. She came out of the crease, dancing Balle-balle, shava-shava. The wickie. delighted, hit d ball on the stumps n r score bcame 29. We had lost by smthing so pathetic dat it was hard 2 believe. I was furious. In r next match, sir literally had 2 shout at me to stop exploding and concentrate on d match. We won it, but bronze is a poor substitute for gold or silver, isn't it? and that too at the nationals.
